uPVC doors (and windows) can improve the aesthetics of your property and add value to your home. uPVC stands for Unplasticised Poly Vinyl Chloride, and this compound material is wrapped around a galvinised steel core. This makes the uPVC strong and hardy compared to the traditional woods used for doors. uPVC doors last longer than wood doors as they do not have any issues in damp climates and will not need major repairs or excessive maintenance.

uPVC doors are strong and rigid, so your home security is maximised. They are also weatherproof and damp proof. These products require very little maintenance so are an easy addition to your home. Not only that, but they offer high levels of insulation and act as a noise reducer for outside sound such as traffic, so you can reduce bill costs and stress levels. uPVC doors save energy so are more environmentally friendly than doors made from other materials.

With CGC, you are able to choose from hundreds of design options – some which have no glazing, some with a lot of glazing – in a range of sizes and shapes.

Give us a call today to discuss your uPVC door on 01206 863 118, or email our team at colglazing@btconnect.com and we will get back to you quickly. Our uPVC door service comes as part of the high-quality value found at CGC. All of our quotes are free, and we are happy to talk through available options if you are unsure.

A composite door uses multiple materials, using the beneficial properties of each to create a highly effective and secure exterior door. It comprises of a foam-filled timber core, which delivers effective security and insulates your home perfectly as it has a much higher thermal resistance than wooden doors. Covering the core is a scratch and scuff resistant Glass Reinforced Plastic layer with a convincing quality wood grain effect. The GRP layer never fades or needs painting as it is coloured through, the doors also have a high resistance to weathering and, unlike a singular material door, will not react to seasonal changes. This door type is very low-maintenance as you only need to wipe it with a damp cloth to remove dirt.

Composite doors are the newest type of exterior doors used in homes. Their quality is superior and their standards in security, function and style are unrivalled in modern door technology.

Here at CGC we can offer you a range of multiple colours, styles and designs so you can be sure to find the composite door you are searching for.
